The Experience

The experience begins early at 8:00am sharp as the distance from Montego Bay to The Appleton Estate is long and adventurous. The landscape along the South Coast is beautiful, so we want you to enjoy it without having to rush.

Our first stop will be The Appleton Estate which has been blending rums since 1749.

The Appleton Estate Rum Tour offers unique insights into a part of Jamaica's history and rich complex culture. The estate is home to the legendary Appleton Distillery, Located in the picturesque Nassau Valley in St. Elizabeth, on Jamaica's South Coast.

During this rum tour you will experience firsthand, the historic production process of Appleton Estates' Rums. You will be able to see and experience some of the earliest methods of extracting juice from sugarcane, learn about the unique distillation process in 200-year-old pot stills and visit one of the barrel houses where the rums age to perfection. After the rum tour, you will begin to understand why Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum is the finest in the world.

Our second stop for the day is YS Falls, which is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Jamaica, set in a pristine environment on the un-spoilt South Coast of Jamaica.

YS Falls offers a 120-foot (36-meter) cascading waterfall, amid 2,000 acres of pasture, located on a privately owned estate, owned by the same family for over a century and where thoroughbred race horses and purebred Jamaica Red cattle are reared. The falls are unspoiled and kept in a natural environment where the only modifications made are the footpaths along the falls and natural swimming pool. Enjoy walking through and swimming in the falls while local guides help take pictures for great memories.  Attractions include: Canopy rides, River tubing, Zip lining, Playground and many more
